Journal of absurdist claims

AIMS AND SCOPE

JOAC is a satirical academic journal that publishes original research and essays on a range of sociocultural and political topics, often through the lens of metafiction. It has a particular focus on: music; modern creative knowledge paradigms and their abuse; themes of informational clarity; interpretative and methodological confusion; the coexistence of information overload and deficit; contradiction, obfuscation, and concerns with critical evaluation; ironies of creative democratisation and creative robustness; process over product; and related ethical challenges. By blurring fact and fiction within the same space, the journal aims to promote critical reasoning and reflection by requiring readers to evaluate the fluid nature of the articles' truth. The journal directly contributes to the vast but largely inconsequential anti-knowledge space, where large quantities of low-quality content crowd out rigorously researched or creatively original material. The Journal of Absurdist Claims should not be taken seriously.
